Crock Pot Wars: Round 4

In round four of our five round Crock Pot Wars our contestants took on the theme of Desserts. We had the highest number of hopefuls yet with six participating chefs.

Operation’s Own, Ron Distante, whipped up a Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake and Technologist Specialist Ronnie Hanif treated us to Rice Pudding with Spices. Financial Advisor Mark Kaplan entered his third round with a Peanut Butter Cake and first time participant, Financial Advisor, Ellen Meyerson prepared a beautifully indulgent Hot Fudge Cake a la Mode! Apple lovers, Chief Compliance Officer Barry Champney and Chief of Staff Heidi Distante faced off with similar yet distinct dishes. Barry wowed with Cinnamon Walnut Baked Apples and Heidi the Baker delighted an Apple Crisp.

With a name like Heidi the Baker, it’s no shocker she took home the most votes. Second place went to Ellen’s decadent Hot Fudge Cake a la Mode and Mark’s Peanut Butter Cake took the third spot.

Next month is our final Round of Crock Pot Wars with a Wild Card theme. Contestants will get to show their strong suites with the dish of their choice. Who will be named the 2016 Vanderbilt Crock Star?
